Şanlıurfa Harran Üniversitesi Hastanesi yaptığı başarılı tedaviler ve uygulamalarla adından söz ettiriyor. Gastroenteroloji Anabilim Dalı Prof. Dr. Savaş Cumali Efe, bölgede ERCP yöntemini en sık ve başarılı uygulayan hastane olduklarını ifade etti.
Harran Üniversitesi Hastanesi’nde ERCP işlemi çocuk hastalarda başarılı bir şekilde uygulandığına dikkat çeken Prof. Dr. SAVAŞ Cumali Efe, “ERCP safra yolları ve pankreas hastalıklarının tedavisinde uygulanan zor ve deneyim gerektiren bir işlemdir. Genellikle erişkin hastalarda ERCP işlemi uygulanmaktadır. Fakat nadir durumlarda ERCP çocuk (pediatrik) hastalarda da gerekmektedir. Çocuk yaştakilerde ERCP riskleri daha fazla olup, deneyimli merkezler ancak bu hasta grubuna ERCP yapabilmektedirler. Ülkemizde de çocuklara ERCP yapabilen çok az sayıda merkez bulunmaktadır. Harran Üniversitesinde son 3 yıl içerisinde 60 ERCP işlemi çocuk hastalarda başarılı bir şekilde uygulanmıştır. ERCP uygulanan hiçbir hayatı tehdit eden yan etki gelişmemiştir. Tüm hastalar 1-2 gün içerisinde taburcu edilmiştir.
Çocuklarda ERCP, nadir gereken bir işlemdir ancak hayat kurtarıcıdır. Biz bölgemizde yaklaşık 60 civarı çocuk hastaya ERCP uyguladık ve şu ana kadar hiçbir yan etki gelişmedi. Bu dünya ortalamasının oldukça üzerinde bir rakamdır ve bölgemiz için de önemli bir açığı gidermektedir. Bu sebeple Harran Üniversitesi Hastanesi Pediyatrik Cerrahi ve Gastroenteroloji Bölümü olarak birlikte çalışıp tüm bu başarılı işlemleri beraber yaptık. Genel olarak bölgemizdeki Hidatik kist bağlı olarak karaciğer hastalığı ve safra hastalığı çok görülmekte bu çocuk yaş gurubunu da etkilemekte en çok bu sebepten dolayı biz ERCP işlemini çocuklarda uyguladık” diye konuştu.
Prof. Dr. Efe ERCP hastalığı ile ilgili şu bilgileri verdi:
“ERCP dünyada ve ülkemizde deneyimli gastroenteroloji uzmanları tarafından az sayıda merkezde uygulanabilmektedir. Safra yolu ve pankreas hastalıklarının tanısında en güvenilir tekniklerin başında gelmektedir. Ayrıca safra yollarını tıkayan taşlara bağlı sarılık ve enfeksiyon gelişen hastalarda, bu taşlar çıkarılarak tedavi sağlanabilmektedir. Bu yöntem sayesinde artık safra kanalına yönelik olan ameliyatlara gerek kalmamaktadır. Ameliyattan çok daha güvenli olup çoğu zaman hastalar genellikle 1 veya 2 günde taburcu olabilmekte ve günlük aktivitelerine dönebilmektedir. Hastanemizde deneyimli ekibimiz tarafından, steril şartlarda birçok endoskopik işlem gibi ERCP işlemi de halkımızın hizmetine sunulmaktadır.”
Prof. Dr. Efe, Çocuk Cerrahisi Anabilim Dalı Başkanı Prof. Dr. Mehmet Emin Boleken ile birlikte safra yollarında darlık olan 6 yaşındaki Mustafa Çıtırık isimli hastaya yaptıkları cerrahi operasyonla safra yolları genişletilerek safra akışı sağlandığını ve ERCP işlemi yapılıp taburcu edildiğini söyledi.
Harran Üniversitesi Hastanesi Başhekim Doç. Dr. İdris Kırhan ise bölgenin en önemli sağlık tesisi olduklarını, deneyimli ekipleri tarafından steril şartlarda birçok endoskopik işlem gibi ERCP işlemi de en sık ve başarılı uygulayan hastane olduklarını ifade etti.
